Hydrojetting in Irvine, CA

What is hydro jetting?

Hydro jetting is the act of using water under high-pressure to blast and wash away all the buildup of grease, roots, and any blockages that harden, build up and slow down a waste line over the years.

How do you know of you need it?

So you're in your kitchen and you washed your dishes...but you notice the smell just doesn't go away...and you can't locate the source of the problem.  Or maybe your bathroom toilet seems to back up, yet the toilet is clear.  Or sometimes there aren't any symptoms, until an inspection camera is put down your drain from a plumbing contractor. Before you do that, some of the symptoms that would probably make you want to call a plumber would be a continuously backed up drain, (despite how many times you cleared it) a drain that seems to run slowly, even if nothing had been recently put down it that would cause you any concern, or if you have any reason to worry that roots may have gotten into the line.

Specifically kitchen lines, due to the amount of grease that gets put down them; laundry lines, due to all the soap and suds; and most main sewer lines from the house will require Hydro Jetting services eventually.  Roots can also cause a drain to slow down, and small ones can be cut out with a high-pressure Hydro Jetter, which is basically just a regular pressure washer that’s been converted for the inside of the waste line.

Typically a video camera inspection before and after is done with the Hydro Jetting in order to find out where we need to focus our cleaning, as well as being able to see how effective we were with the cleaning...and to check out the condition of the pipeline after, for cracks or breaks.

What should you do if you think you have a problem?

If you’re curious if you need something like that, or you're noticing something just doesn't seem right with your drainage, or a weird smell just doesn't go away, we would suggest calling us out for a one-time free camera inspection which we can provide exclusively through our eNewsletter and we can even make a DVD copy of it if you are not able to be home while we are out inspecting, so that an informed decision can be made about the best step to fix the line.
